PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Modern Museum of Ceramics project was created so that I could depict my ceramic works that still showcased my graphic design skills.

Brand Strategies

I created a fictional museum to base my ceramic art gallery around. I wanted to be able to showcase my work in a way that I could still showcase my graphic skills as well.

Target Audience

My target audience for this project is tailored towards business entities that are looking for a skilled graphic designer to update all of their graphic needs.

Logo Sketches

Logo Typography

My logo typeface was inspired by my Fire & Ice logo. The typography is clean and simple yet unique. Neutra text was the perfect selection for my museum logo.

Logo Color Palette

I decided to choose coral red, aqua blue, and mustard yellow for my logo color palette. I wanted to base my color palette around the three primary colors red, blue, and yellow to give a subconscious understanding that my logo colors are the backbone of all colors.

Poster Sketches

Poster Typography

For the poster typeface, I wanted to make a statement. I wanted my viewers to understand that Sarah Rudder’s work will be exhibited at the Modern Museum of Ceramics. I utilized different variations of Helvetica Neue to create a hierarchy within the posters so that viewers would read my name first, the museum title, the date, and finally quote that reads “This institution is dedicated to preserving and interpreting the principal tangible evidence of humanity and the environment.”

Poster Color Palette

For my museum exhibition posters, I went with a tan color for the background to bring out the browns in my ceramic work, then a deep orange to give the poster contrast as my art piece is blue and black for all of the typography.
