PERSONAL BRANDING
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
For this project, I created a personal brand that fits me as an artist and graphic designer to market myself in corporate and freelance work. I was tasked with creating nine sketches that would develop into my logo. After finalizing my logo, I made my resume branding materials.
RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
Brand Strategies
For my brand, I wanted to create a unique monogram logo to represent me as a bold but kind designer. I want to show my audience that I can handle any task but also be relatable and fluid.
Target Audience
Ideally, my target audience is anyone needing design work done. I do not have an age, race, sex, or ethnicity preference. All blood runs red. I am hopeful to find clientele that need graphics done for a business start-up.

Typography
I chose Avenir Heavy for my title because it has a strong look and feel. I wanted to make the text clear, bold, and straight to the point. I am advertising in the Hot Springs Village area. Many people retire in the Village, so it is important to consider the elderly demographic. I have already started gaining clientele that need advertising services to market their dream hobbies.
Color Palette
I went with a very basic color palette to allow my viewers to focus on my name and career versus the color. Green evokes a sense of calm that allows people to open up and become trusting of my brand and my services. It brings both harmony and balance that also allows my viewers to feel peaceful and at ease.
DIGITAL DRAFTS
Design Decisions
I debated on my monogram logo concept but felt my digital draft design number two stood out the most. I then refined my draft further by rounding the sharp point in the letter R. This design choice was thoughtfully made as people subconsciously stared clear of sharp edges. The mind automatically thinks of danger, so I wanted to give a look and feel that draws viewers inwards not outwards.
